Fashion Favorite: Shorts

NYC is in the middle of a delightfully sweltering HEATWAVE. Shorts may be the only option when the temperature reaches crazy heights! Though I know all you Shoe Addicts still want to look sexy while rocking your summer wears, keep in mind that the tighter your clothes, the HOTTER you'll be and I don't just mean sexy style! Doesn't hurt to go loose just this once, to keep your cool...

Allowed to wear shorts to work? There's a few options in here for you too...

Feel like shopping? Of course you do...

Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows

This with that...

Cesare Paciotti
This is the first post for Cesare Paciotti and I have no idea why. These colorful wedges are perfect for life in the summer. I decided to pair the shoes with a plain dress with a distinct detail (ignore the belt color), because let's be honest, these shoes deserve to be the focus. Style the dress with some colorful bangles and you've got yourself a show stopper!

Just keep in mind, the shoes are the focus, so don't go crazy adding additional accessories or hair pieces etc.

When I hear Lesley Gore's ooey gooey song "Sunshing Lollipops and Rainbows," I have no choice but to smile. I might even skip! Since the shoes pretty much inspired the same reaction, it became clear how perfect this fit truly was...

New Music Tuesday!

Every Tuesday is an exciting new day for music! And an exciting day to write about it. Here are a few selections worth checking out (or avoiding), with links to articles, reviews, videos and anything else the Internet could provide...Happy Listening!

New Releases...

Maroon 5 - Overexposed
I'll be honest. Maroon 5 doesn't really do it for me. I don't dislike them, but I don't like them. I hear them played on the radio or in stores at the mall when I go back to PA to visit my parents. I do not own a Maroon 5 album and I will not buy the new Maroon 5 album. I gave it a few listens in order to write this review, but again, I'll be honest. It was background noise. I find listening to an album while doing something else a true test to the quality of said album. There are times I have stopped mid-sentence to look at what track I am listening to or to even replay the song that has just played because I liked it so much. However there are times that I can listen to an entire album without noticing a single track. The entire album plays from start to finish and I go about my day as if nothing was playing. To my ears, there was nothing remarkable to hear. That is the case with this album. Though there was nothing so horrible about the album, I can not say there was anything remarkable about the album that would prompt me to buy it or encourage others to buy it.

Though I would not consider myself a fan, I can recognize why people like Maroon 5. Aside from the lead singer, Adam Levine's incredible hotness, the music is catchy. You'll hear a song in Duane Reade and find yourself humming the same track two hours later for no apparent reason! You won't even realize your'e humming it until you think to yourself, what the hell am I humming and where did I hear it? There was that one song, "She Will Be Loved," that seemed to play every hour the year I worked at Macky's Bayside Bar and Grill in Ocean City, MD. The whole waitstaff would walk around the restaurant singing the chorus because it was so catchy. I grew quite tired of the track come the end of the summer, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.

Tracks: One More Night, Love Somebody

The Offspring - Days Go By
What. The. Fuck. This album is embarrassing. At one point I think I actually threw my hands up in the air in complete disgust, before I turned it off, only to turn it back on to force myself to listen...again for the sake of this review. I haven't done all that much research (read: none) so there may be an underlying story about how the band needed to fulfill their record contract, so they created a complete joke album they would force their record company to promote and pay for but it was a complete hoax and a way to make the big bad record company look like a pack of assholes. Right? PLEASE?! Sadly this is not the case.  This album was intentional. Embarrassing.

And with that being said, I will not waste more words on this album...

Tracks: HA... (that was sarcasm)
