And the Oscar goes to...

What a night for glitz and glamour! Though still wearing my workout gear from a previous trip to the gym, I was poised and ready to take in all the amazing dresses and jewels the red carpet had to offer (next year, I want to dress up!). There were some major stand outs and some I wished hadn't come out at all. Last night was a night of old Hollywood glamour and genuine acceptance speeches (Octavia Spencer, Jean Dujardin to name a couple) and it warmed my heart. Here are my best and worst dressed of the evening...

                               Hooray for Hollywood!!

And the award for Best Dressed goes to...

Though I am not sure I really know who Louise Roe is (wasn't she on a reality show for a hot minute?), she is a charming Brit who said the most darling things to the guests as they arrived to the red carpet on ABC's "pregame" show. Her dress was absolutely to DIE for...the color, the sleeve length, hair, EVERYTHING. She was a picture of class and elegance...
Louise Roe in Black Halo

Ms. Tina Fey. You are America's Sweetheart. This funny gal NEVER looked more chic than she did last night. The dress was absolute perfection. Though I agree with the E! table discussion wishing she had gone with a color, instead of her usual dark palate (black or in this case, navy) she was a vision. Hair. Earrings. The peplum on the dress. PERFECTION. From top to bottom she looked exquisite. Sometimes, less is more...

Tina Fey in Carolina Herrera

And the award for worst dressed goes to...

Viola Davis in Vera Wang
This pained me. I adore this woman and I just hated to have to give her worst dressed, but there isn't anything about this, I liked. She looks like a mermaid. Who forgot to get her shells properly fitted. With actual seaweed flowing from her waist. Atrocious.
